The above presentation was used by Mr Julio Anguita (former national leader of left wing party, former mayor of Córdoba and former teacher at Blas Infante school) who was at our school on the 26th of January to give a lecture on Human rights. This was the final activity of a project carried out by 1º bachillerato A (17 year-old students) This group has been working on this topic since the 10th of December (60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights). They have learnt the articles, searched for good pictures, related news, … and they have made a Power Point presentation for the lecture. The talk has been attended by several bachillerato groups who took a quite active part in the debate that followed the lecture. Mr Anguita was so gentle to repeat the lecture on the 3rd of February for more groups of students.

The group's teacher of English, Ms Agustina Martín wanted to congratulate her students for such a good work which has been worth. In the link above you can also watch videos to illustrate the different articles.

This is the opinion one of our students wrote about the document of Human Rights:

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a declaration adopted as the General Assembly of the United Nations in its Resolution. It gathers the considered basic human rights.I think that this document is very important for society since we can find there all our rights and freedoms. In many countries these rights are not respected and this should be corrected. Very important articles are written in this document. For me one of the most important is: " all human beings have the right to be free " by Belén Fernández
