A World of Differences Comenius Multilateral Project 2008-10
Poems
Poems written at IES Blas Infante as we agreed on our Hungarian meeting in November. These poems deal with interculturality and immigration. Here follow the presentations of the poems and bilingual versions in the case of poems made in Spanish. Students from the five countries in the project will hold poetry workshops in our Uffenheim meeting from the 22nd to the 25th of April 09. We hope you like them.

|
Cries of misery,Voices of pain,Shouts of bitterness,Dreams that begin and endIn a trip with no destination. The wind howled,Tears upon the sand. She was lyingDreaming of lands she longs for.The sun wokeTo the cruelty of the day.Her dreams are fantasies,She is dead alive.Dreams that begin and endIn a trip with no destination.STUDENTS FROM 4º ESO F15-16 YEARS OLD |

In the colours of the races, In the corners of the soul, In different cultures I was thinking calmly.
As if by magic, I saw faraway cities, People who live like slaves Victims of their fury.
I saw children and wars. Illnesses, poverty, Selfishness in soldiers, Meanwhile in our cities There was no sadness.
Will this change one day Or will the gloomy night remain? We will decide, We will change it.

I have little imagination To know a lot of people. But it is enough I don’t have money, But it is enough To buy illusion.
In my world I live But I am aware I am not alone. I feel there is somebody else. People around me That share my pain That understand me That love me And help me Without asking anything in exchange.
As there are people that However you may be Walk next to you Day after day.
